About
Renting wireless mics should feel like renting a car.
Why we exist
RentMicKits exists because renting wireless microphones in 2026 still feels like renting a Ford in 1985. Call a rental house. Leave a voicemail. Get a quote by fax. Fill out a credit app. Wait 48 hours. Get a PDF with six tiers. Pick one. Send a PO. Wait for confirmation. Hope the elements match what you thought you ordered. Show up at load-in and discover the receiver is the old firmware that nobody has a manual for.
We built RentMicKits to kill every step in that flow. Five kits, five prices, pick one at the top of the page, pay, the case shows up at your door. No sales rep, no quote turnaround, no credit app. Customers deserve a modern booking experience — the same one-click, price-on-the-site UX that every other rental category figured out a decade ago.
And the gear itself should be turnkey. Pre-paired, pre-coordinated, labeled, and bench-tested before it ships. A laminated quick-start card a high school sophomore can follow. Spare elements in the case. A pre-paid return label. If you can rent a car without reading the manual, you should be able to rent a wireless mic rig without one.
Who we are
RentMicKits is a nationwide wireless microphone rental company. We're a small, focused team of audio and theater people who think renting pro gear should feel like renting a car. We've mixed regional theater, run worship tech, tuned corporate ballrooms, and coordinated RF at festivals — which is why we built the site the way we did. [Founder name: TBD — the founder will fill this in later.]
Where we ship from
We ship nationwide from a central warehouse via UPS Ground. Kits arrive 2 business days before your first rehearsal so you have time to unpack, plug in, and run a sound check before your first performer walks in. Flat-rate zone pricing: $39 / $59 / $89 / $249 round-trip. The return label is already in the case. When the show is done, drop it at any UPS location.
What we care about
Five things, in order:
- Turnkey UX. Pick a kit, pay, the case shows up. No phone calls, no quote PDFs, no credit apps. The whole point of the brand.
- Real gear. Shure SLX-D+ or Sennheiser EW-D / EW-DX digital wireless, Point Source Audio CO-6 and CO-8WL elements on every channel, SKB and shock-rack road cases. Nothing consumer-tier, nothing rebadged.
- Honest pricing. Weekly rates on the site, no hidden tiers, automatic educational discount for schools, transparent damage waiver, flat-rate shipping zones. The price you see is the price you pay.
- Rechargeable-ready. Lithium AAs work great, but the MicKit Power upgrade gets you rechargeable Li-ion packs and a charger for long runs — the clean answer for a four-week musical.
- Fast support. On-call tech support text line for show-day emergencies. Real humans who know the gear, not a ticket queue.
